  • New Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Colombo Valerie Fowler with winner Ms. Namal Jayasinghe and award winning sculpture Winner Chosen in Embassy Sculpture Competition

    October 29, 2009: Ms. Namal Jayasinghe has won the sculpture competition organized by the U. S. Embassy to mark 60 years of the establishment of the American Center in Colombo. The new Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy, Ms. Valerie Fowler, presented Ms. Jayasinghe with a cash prize of Rs100,000 and a certificate.
